How Does Delphyr Know the Context of a Patient?
It’s one of the most common questions we hear during demo meetings: medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, and psychologists ask, “How does Delphyr actually know the context of a patient?” It’s a fair question. AI can sometimes feel like a “black box,” especially in a clinical environment where context is everything. The good news? The answer is much more straightforward than many people expect.
Delphyr integrates into your current systems
The short answer: Delphyr works where you already work. Delphyr integrates directly into your existing Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. There’s no separate platform to log into, no copying and pasting, and no switching between screens.
When you open your patient management system, you’ll see a Delphyr tab or button. Click it, and the Delphyr assistant opens within the same environment you already use every day.
Because Delphyr is embedded in your EHR, it has access to everything that is already known about the patient within that system: clinical notes, lab results, imaging reports, medications, correspondence, and more. Delphyr doesn’t guess context: it reads it from the source of truth you already trust.
Proof in practice: The Dutch Endometriosis Center
A concrete example of this approach in action is our pilot with The Dutch Endometriosis Center, a recognized expert facility dedicated to the multidisciplinary care of patients with endometriosis.
Endometriosis care is complex by nature. Patients often require input from gynecologists, surgeons, urologists, radiologists, pain specialists, psychologists, dietitians, and physiotherapists, all supported by specialized nursing staff. Coordinating this level of care involves extensive documentation, careful communication, and constant context switching.
That complexity was exactly why Delphyr and The Dutch Endometriosis Center decided to launch a pilot within the Department of Gynecology. Together, we are exploring how Delphyr can support physicians, nurses, and administrative staff throughout the endometriosis care pathway. Specifically, the pilot examines how Delphyr can:
Support doctors and nurses with optimized, intelligent workflows
Improve clinical administration through AI-augmented documentation
Measure real-world impact and benefits in daily clinical practice
As Dr. Tobias Limperg, Gynecologist and Founder of the Dutch Endometriosis Clinic, put it:
“Truly impressive! This has enormous potential to take a lot of work off doctors’ hands.”
More than just patient context
Searching and summarizing patient information is only the beginning. Delphyr can also support clinical work in several practical ways:
Clinical Guidance: Ask clinical questions and receive answers connected to up-to-date national and local guidelines and trusted medical sources.
Ambient Listening: Securely captures consultations and automatically structures them into clinical notes linked to the patient record.
Specialized Clinical Assistants: Automates repetitive tasks, highlights key patient details, and drafts structured documentation tailored to specific workflows.
Safety first. Always
At its core, Delphyr is designed to make clinical work safer, simpler, and more human. It runs on secure, healthcare-grade European infrastructure, is compliant with ISO and GDPR standards, and is expected to receive MDR certification in early 2026. Patient data stays protected at every step.
Want to see Delphyr in action?
In a world full of AI promises, Delphyr is built specifically for medical professionals, enhancing clinical work rather than replacing it. Whether you’re a clinician or a hospital leader, we’d love to explore a pilot together. Let’s start the conversation!
